- Cuts costs in a variety of ways: saves gas if the interview is not within the same city/area, saves $ for an airplane ticket, and also saves the company money (which is helpful during the recession).
- Could easily have possible answers, to the questions that the interviewer may ask, written down and in front of the person being interviewed.
- Depending on the person, being on Skype is easier because it's more relaxing if they are in the comfort of their own home.
- Don't have to necessarily groom/get dressed entirely... Although its strongly suggested that you do either way.

Can't Believe It Took This Long!
OMG, school is almost over and we are finally getting into the swing of things. I don't know if I have just grown accustomed to the way class works or what but it doesn't irritate me as much. The only problem that I would say is getting off task. There are a number of people that think they can just run the class: one wants to get up multiple times and put any video that comes to mind up on the projector, the other talks out of turn and abruptly interrupts group presentations and professor MJ. The list goes on but it just gets old, I kno it is supposed to be "our" class but there is still a such thing as common courtesy. Other than that, I am more relaxed when it comes to this course and can't wait to meet with my global group so we can get the last presentation done and outta the way. Just a month to go, we will see what the next few weeks bring. 'Til next time folks.

We are gettin' there!
Hmm.... I know I am supposed to blog at LEAST once a week but I got to be honest when I say that I am glad it has been so long! Don't get me wrong, I still do not like the way we do things but I think that the survey we recently did will change that (if not for us, at least the students that take this course after us). However, I think that I have just grown accustomed to the way the class is. The only thing I would say that I dislike is the amount of time I have to put into this class. We have to meet and collaborate with so many other people. I like working with other people, but I will not allow slackers to bring me down. Not only that, I spend so much time worrying about my grade because there are so many assignments and I dont want to miss any. At the moment I am pretty content with the course and will do what I need to do for these next few weeks in order to get the grade I want. Well... until next week i guess.

RIDICULOUS!
I think that the idea of this class is excellent!... Teaching students how to use the computers to learn and use the different types of media, whatever! All of the materials that we are told to read are cool and I have learned alot thus far but what the hell do they have to do with the class?! We never discuss what we have read. Its just a big mess of confusion and disorganized busy work. There are SO many different types of groups we are supposed to be in (1 for our mentoring, the global group, yada yada yada yada). Every day in class we get up to present and dont even know what to present on! I refuse to get a bad grade in a class that has NO type of order!!! WE DONT EVEN HAVE A 'STABLE' SYLLABUS?!?! How am I to know what is going on and what is due when?! I am the type of person who needs everything laid out and at first I tried to be optimistic and open to learning new ways to learn.... but not anymore! I like MJ and some of the TAs are so helpful and they have all been patient with us as a class.... All of which could be avoided if we knew what to do. Jus sayin.....
